Ms. Gwendeleena Fernandes is an RCI-licensed Clinical Psychologist dedicated to helping individuals across all age groups navigate life’s emotional and psychological challenges. With over nine years of experience in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, and private practice, she offers a compassionate, client-focused approach that blends scientific precision with genuine empathy.
Her work spans child and adolescent therapy, adult psychotherapy, hypnotherapy, and caregiver guidance, addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, grief, addictions, relationship difficulties, and behavioral challenges in children. She is also skilled in conducting psychological assessments, including IQ testing, learning disability evaluations, and DSM-5-based screenings.
Gwendeleena’s integrative therapeutic style combines evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and behavior modification with holistic modalities such as Clinical Hypnotherapy. This allows her to create personalized intervention plans that address the mind, body, and emotional well-being as a whole.
Over her career, she has conducted 500+ assessments, facilitated workshops for parents and educators, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to support children with special needs and guide families toward constructive change.
Her academic journey includes a Professional Diploma in Clinical Psychology (RCI recognized), Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, alongside certifications in CBT, REBT, tobacco cessation counseling, and handwriting analysis.
